Interior house paint: Voqe Wall Paint or Mineral Finish?

A smooth paint you can apply yourself in a day, or a mineral wall no other home will have. The answer depends on what you want the wall to do.

A sunlit sitting room with warm beige walls, a stone fireplace, stacked books and a worn leather armchair
A cream hallway with a wooden console, a ceramic bowl and stone stairs in window light
A bedroom wall in a soft taupe mineral finish behind linen bedding and a clay lamp at golden hour
Short answer

If you want an interior paint that is easy to apply, keeps the budget in check and works throughout the house, choose Voqe Wall Paint: a 100% acrylic paint with little odour, low VOC and 75 shades. If you want a wall with hand-made texture and depth that makes a room feel warmer and more luxurious, choose Voqe Mineral Finish, which takes more effort and a bigger budget. Many homes use both: Mineral Finish on the feature wall and Wall Paint everywhere else.

Two kinds of interior paint, two personalities

Voqe Wall Paint is a crisp, ironed white shirt: wear it every day and it looks right everywhere. Voqe Mineral Finish is your favourite linen shirt: a little creased, but always looks expensive. Both are good. They just don't do the same job.

Wall Paint gives a smooth wall in an even colour. Mineral Finish gives a matt wall with brush marks and light and dark tones of its own. Whenever the afternoon sun hits it, the wall comes alive.

Voqe Wall Paint: interior paint you can apply yourself in a day

It is 100% acrylic, with little odour and low VOC, for interior and exterior use, with a rated lifespan of 15 years. It comes in Eggshell and Semi gloss, in 75 shades in all.

It really is easy to apply. It is touch dry in 20–30 minutes and ready for a second coat in 1–2 hours. One 3.785L gallon costs ฿1,299 and covers 35–40 sq m per coat, so a bedroom can be done in a single day off. Thin with 10–15% clean water when using a brush or roller.

  • Apply it yourself, no special skills needed
  • Easy to budget, with clear quantities to work out
  • Suits a whole house, children's rooms and rentals

Voqe Mineral Finish: a wall no other home has

Mineral Finish is applied by hand, and every sweep leaves a brush mark, so no two walls are the same. The matt surface softly absorbs light, making a room feel calmer and more expensive without trying, like a room in a boutique hotel you never want to check out of.

There are 38 shades, from Chill Beige and Latte to Quiet Luxury, a plain grey that still looks rich. It is sold as a two-tin set: Set 2QT at ฿1,180 and Set 2GL at ฿2,998, for both walls and floors.

If you ask which way we lean: for the rooms you spend the most time in, like the living room or the wall behind the bed, Mineral Finish gives a feeling that smooth paint can't.

A straight comparison: price, effort and time

To be honest, Mineral Finish is not the cheapest or the quickest route. It is handwork that needs more patience, and if you have never done it, a large wall is best left to a painter. Wall Paint is the answer when you want a result that is sure to look good on a budget you can control.

You can find Mineral Finish coverage rates on the product page, or send us your wall sizes and the team will help you work it out. Both come with our Supply & Apply service if you'd rather not do it yourself.

  • Look: Wall Paint is smooth and even / Mineral Finish is matt, with brush marks and depth
  • Application: Wall Paint is easy to do yourself / Mineral Finish takes more skill
  • Budget: Wall Paint is easier to control / Mineral Finish costs more, but gives you a statement wall
  • Where: Wall Paint for interior and exterior / Mineral Finish for walls and floors

No need to pick a side: use both

The formula we see most often in our customers' homes is Mineral Finish on the wall your eye lands on first, such as the wall behind the sofa or the bed, with Wall Paint in a close tone on the rest. You get luxury where it matters and keep the budget in check for the whole room.

Try pairing Chill Beige with Linen, or Quiet Luxury with Ivory. Ask for sample pots to hold up in the real room, or come and see walls in all 113 shades in real light at Voqe Studio (Bang Phli), Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:30.

Frequently asked questions

Which interior paint has little odour?

Voqe Wall Paint is a 100% acrylic paint with low VOC and little odour. It carries the Green Label and is made by Dyno Paints, which holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

How is Mineral Finish different from ordinary wall paint?

Mineral Finish is a matt mineral surface applied by hand, with brush marks and depth of its own, so no two walls are the same. Ordinary wall paint gives a smooth surface in an even colour.

Can I apply Mineral Finish myself?

You can do a small wall yourself if you enjoy handwork. For a large wall or a floor, we recommend Voqe's Supply & Apply service, so the finish turns out the way you intended.

How many square metres does 1 gallon of interior paint cover?

One gallon (3.785L) of Voqe Wall Paint covers 35–40 sq m per coat. You would normally apply two coats. Use the paint calculator on our website to estimate how much you need.
